Basketball Game Preview: Bishop Snyder Cardinals vs. KIPP Bold City Greyhounds

The Bishop Snyder Cardinals will square off against the KIPP Bold City Greyhounds at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. KIPP Bold City took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Bishop Snyder, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with three defeats in a row, Bishop Snyder turned things around against Clay on Tuesday. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 46-11 win over the Blue Devils. The Cardinals have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 23 points or more this season.

Bishop Snyder found their leader in sophomore Bryonna Grimes, who went 9 of 13 on her way to 22 points along with six boards and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Grimes has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Shelby Gaines, who went 5 for 6 en route to 10 points and seven rebounds.

Bishop Snyder smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in 21 consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 57 points the game before, KIPP Bold City was a bit more limited in their matchup on Thursday. They fell just short of Raines by a score of 2-0. The shutout was out of character for the Greyhounds seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in December of 2024.

Bishop Snyder's victory bumped their record up to 18-7. As for KIPP Bold City, their loss was their 26th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-15.
