Soccer Game Preview: Liberty vs. Livingston

A feisty cat fight will be fought as Liberty challenge Livingston at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Liberty has given up an average of 3.4 goals per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week.

Liberty is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to five goals last Friday, they were much more limited against Hargrave on Friday. They lost 5-1 to the Falcons.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Livingston). They never let East Chambers get on the board and left with an 8-0 victory on Friday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Lions considering their one-goal performance the match before.

Livingston is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-5-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 22 goals over those six games. Liberty's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-7.
