St. Johnsbury Academy entered their tilt with Champlain Valley Union on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Redhawks 44-7. The result was nothing new for the Hilltoppers, who have now won four contests by 37 points or more so far this season.

Leading St. Johnsbury Academy to victory were Maddox McFarland and Vincent Palmieri. McFarland rushed for 107 yards and two TDs on only 15 carries, while Palmieri gained 126 total yards. What's more, McFarland racked up 156.5 passer rating, the most he's had since back in September of 2024.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: St. Johnsbury Academy was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 223 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Champlain Valley Union didn't rushed for any.

St. Johnsbury Academy's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Champlain Valley Union, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. St. Johnsbury Academy will venture away from home to take on Lyndon Institute at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
