Baseball Game Preview: North Kitsap Vikings vs. Bainbridge Spartans

For the second straight game, North Kitsap will face off against Bainbridge. The Vikings will square off against the Spartans at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. North Kitsap is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.6 runs per game this season.

The home team had come away the winner the last six times North Kitsap and Bainbridge had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Vikings lost 9-2 to the Spartans on Tuesday. Vikings fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Spartans since on Tuesday.

North Kitsap got a good showing from Ryan Enright, who tossed 3.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off one hit. Enright has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two hits any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, North Kitsap saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dawsyn Anderson, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

Bainbridge has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for North Kitsap, their loss dropped their record down to 12-6-1.
