Softball Game Preview: Howards Grove Tigers vs. Hilbert Wolves

The Howards Grove Tigers will challenge the Hilbert Wolves at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hilbert took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Howards Grove, who comes in off a win.

Howards Grove is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Cedar Grove-Belgium 16-7 on Monday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Tigers considering their two-run performance the game before.

Reedsville hit Hilbert with a four-run third inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Wolves came up short against the Panthers, falling 9-3. The Wolves haven't had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Leigha Wunrow was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season.

Hilbert's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Howards Grove, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-10.
