Softball Recap: Dansville Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Dansville can now relate to. They fell just short of the Plymouth Christian Academy Eagles by a score of 2-0 on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Aggies have suffered since May 17th.

Laci Neal spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on four hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in 18 consecutive appearances.

With the defeat, Dansville broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 25-11. As for Plymouth Christian Academy, the win was the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 31-9.

As of now, neither Dansville nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
