Soccer Game Preview: Cedar Ridge vs. Round Rock

The Cedar Ridge Raiders will head out on the road to challenge the Round Rock Dragons at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Round Rock will have to contend with a Cedar Ridge squad hungry for a victory, something the team hasn't seen since the third. Cedar Ridge came up short against Round Rock Westwood on Friday, falling 3-0. While losing is never fun, the Raiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 306th, while the Warriors are ranked 76th).

Despite a strong season so far, Round Rock has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of McNeil on Friday.

Round Rock's defeat dropped their record down to 5-2-1. As for Cedar Ridge, they now have a losing record at 3-4-1.

Cedar Ridge might still be hurting after the 4-0 loss they got from Round Rock in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. Can Cedar Ridge avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
