Softball Game Preview: Paul Cuffee vs. Rogers Vikings

Paul Cuffee will head out on the road to face off against the Rogers Vikings at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Paul Cuffee has given up an average of 18.1 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Paul Cuffee came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Classical, falling 25-6. The defeat continues a trend for Paul Cuffee in their meetings with Classical: they've now lost three in a row.

Meanwhile, after only two runs in their last game, Rogers made sure to put some runs up on the board against Middletown on Friday. The Vikings never let the Islanders get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. The Vikings might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten contests by seven runs or more this season.

Rogers is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.7 runs over those games. As for Paul Cuffee, their loss dropped their record down to 2-14.

Paul Cuffee might still be hurting after the 10-0 defeat they got from Rogers in their previous meeting back in May of 2016. Can Paul Cuffee avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
