Softball Recap: Pine Lake Prep Wins Going Away Against Cox Mill

Pine Lake Prep never let their opponents score on Friday. They blew past the Cox Mill Chargers 10-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Pride.

Emery Jensen made a big impact no matter where she played. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-low in hits (zero). She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March of 2024.

In other batting news, Maddie Beaver was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Addison Green, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.

Pine Lake Prep was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .444. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Cox Mill only posted a batting average of .000.

Pine Lake Prep's record is now 2-0. As for Cox Mill, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Pine Lake Prep wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 17-0 win against Christ the King on the 4th. As for Cox Mill, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 15-5 loss against A.L. Brown on the 4th.
