Softball Recap: Oneonta Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Oneonta and Hokes Bluff squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Oneonta had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 3-2. Unfortunately, that's the fourth time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, with their most recent loss being a 6-2 defeat last Tuesday.

Oneonta has also been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-20 record this season. As for Hokes Bluff, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 21-23 record this season.

Oneonta wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against Ashville on the 25th. As for Hokes Bluff, they have also already played their next game, a 4-2 loss against Etowah on the 25th.
