Basketball Recap: Camden Academy Charter Victorious

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Camden Academy Charter ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They pulled ahead with a 40-39 photo finish over the King's Christian Knights. For Camden Academy Charter, this counts as revenge for the 42-25 victory King's Christian walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2023.

King's Christian lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Lily Welsh, who went 5-for-12 to rack up 14 points in addition to seven boards and three steals. Another player making a difference was Lillian Logan, who posted 11 points along with five rebounds and three steals.

The win got Camden Academy Charter back to even at 6-6. As for King's Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-14.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Camden Academy Charter will challenge LEAP Academy at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for King's Christian, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against United Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
