Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask West Port). They never let the Poinciana Eagles get on the board and left with a 17-0 win on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for the Wolf Pack, who have now won five games by ten runs or more so far this season.

Alena Ishman made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over four innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in April of 2024. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs.

In other batting news, West Port let Brooklyn Schoepke and Ashley Zimmerman run wild. Schoepke scored two runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances, while Zimmerman scored two runs while going 2-for-3. That's the most runs Zimmerman has posted since back in March of 2024. Looking ahead, West Port will square off against Westminster Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Westminster Academy's pitching crew has only allowed 4.1 runs per game this season, so West Port's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Poinciana, they will be playing at home against Davenport at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
