Soccer Game Preview: Daniel vs. Dreher

The Daniel Lions will square off against the Dreher Blue Devils at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Dreher will challenge a team with plenty of momentum: Daniel extended their winning streak to nine on Tuesday. The Lions never let Westside get on the board and left with a 12-0 win. Give Daniel's defense some credit: that's the team's seventh straight shutout.

Meanwhile, two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Dreher walked away with it. They blew past the Devildogs 4-0 on Tuesday. The score was close at halftime, but Dreher pulled away in the second half with three goals.

They hit Travelers Rest with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from JILLIAN MUIR (2), Olivia Gray Berzins, and KARSYN JACKSON.

Daniel pushed their record up to 16-3-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 44 goals over those six contests. As for Dreher, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season.
