Football Game Preview: Natomas Nighthawks vs. Sutter Huskies + How To Watch

The Natomas Nighthawks will square off against the Sutter Huskies at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Natomas has struggled recently with ten defeats in a row, while Sutter will arrive with eight straight victories.

Natomas is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Casa Roble on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Nighthawks were outmatched by the Rams and fell 57-6. The Nighthawks were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-0.

Meanwhile, while Sutter put up plenty of points on Friday, the same can't be said for Rio Linda. The Huskies simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Knights 50-0. Fans of the Huskies have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Sutter had a senior duo take command as Braden Scritchfield threw for 198 yards and three TDs while completing 81.8% of his passes and Gary Bicknell gained 133 total yards and two touchdowns.

Sutter's win bumped their record up to 8-0. As for Natomas, their loss dropped their record down to 0-7.

Natomas took a serious blow against Sutter when the teams last played back in October of 2024, falling 53-0. Thankfully for the Nighthawks, Marcus Meras (who rushed for 164 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only nine carries) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
