Recap: Pebblebrook Falcons vs. Pace Academy Knights
On Saturday, Pebblebrook came up short against Pace Academy and fell 63-54. While losing is never fun, Pebblebrook can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 111th, while Pace Academy is ranked 12th).
Pace Academy was led to victory by Lamar Moore and MJ Madison. Moore dropped a double-double on 15 points and 16 rebounds, while Madison scored 16 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Madison has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyle Greene, who scored nine points along with five assists and two steals.
Pebblebrook's loss dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Pace Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pebblebrook and Westlake will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 23rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Westlake will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive. As for Pace Academy, they will head out on the road to challenge Hampton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
