Central saw some tournament action on Tuesday. In a tight matchup that could have gone either way, they made off with a 56-55 victory over the Whitefield Academy Wildcats. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Yellow Jackets.

Despite the loss, Whitefield Academy still got an impressive performance from Noel Smith, who went 8 for 20 en route to 25 points along with six steals and five assists. Smith's evening made it five games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Gwynnie Franz, who went 5 of 10 on her way to 15 points in addition to six assists and three steals.

Central's win bumped their record up to 10-5. As for Whitefield Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 14-5.

Central didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 53-46 victory against Bethlehem on the 30th. As for Whitefield Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 51-22 win against Ballard on the 30th.
