Basketball Recap: Phillips Find Success

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Assumption, Phillips was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Athens Bluejays by a score of 77-64. The Loggers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bluejays, too.

Phillips' win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Athens, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Phillips will venture away from home to take on Auburndale at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Auburndale's defense has only allowed 29.6 points per game this season, so Phillips' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Athens, they are taking a road trip to challenge Stratford at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Stratford will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Athens surely won't give up without a fight.
