Appalachian has gone 8-2 against Southeastern recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Appalachian Eagles will welcome the Southeastern Mustangs at 4:30 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (Appalachian 3.6, Southeastern 2.4) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Appalachian is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Victory Christian with a sharp 11-5 victory on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

Sarah Metcalf spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and four unearned) runs on 11 hits. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than one walk any time she's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Appalachian got a massive performance out of Graci McGuire, who scored three runs while going 3-for-3. Trinity Day was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run and three runs.

McGuire wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Appalachian kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Southeastern unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of Locust Fork by a score of 6-5.

Emellie Hamilton was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. She struck out 12 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and four unearned) runs off eight hits. Hamilton was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Hamilton wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Alyssa Freeman, who scored a run while going 1-for-4. Freeman also put up a double, which was her first of the season. Another was Taylor Moon, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Southeastern's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Appalachian, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
