Softball Game Preview: Portage Mustangs vs. Homer-Center Wildcats

The Portage Mustangs will challenge the Homer-Center Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Portage is looking for their season's first victory.

Portage lost 15-5 to Penn Cambria on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Monday just wasn't the day for Homer-Center's offense. They came up short against Conemaugh Valley on Monday, falling 11-0. The Wildcats have struggled against the Blue Jays recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Homer-Center now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Portage, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-9.

Portage couldn't quite get it done against Homer-Center in their previous matchup back in March of 2024 as they fell 5-0. Can the Mustangs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
