Softball Recap: McDaniel Gets the Win

While McDaniel's victory against Grant wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Mountain Lions had just enough and edged out the Generals 7-6 on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Mountain Lions in their matchups with the Generals: they've now won seven in a row.

Tiffany Jordan was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3. What's more, she posted three RBI, the most she's had since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Amira Edwards, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one RBI.

McDaniel's victory bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Grant, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-7.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. McDaniel will take on rival Franklin at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Grant is set to face off against their familiar foe Ida B. Wells at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
