Volleyball Recap: Hawthorne Math & Science Academy's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

If Hawthorne Math & Science Academy was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Animo City of Champions on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Aviators took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the New Roads Jaguars on Thursday. The loss continues a trend for the Aviators in their meetings with the Jaguars: they've now lost nine in a row.

Having lost for the first time this season, Hawthorne Math & Science Academy fell to 2-1. As for New Roads, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hawthorne Math & Science Academy will challenge California Academy of Math & Science at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday. As for New Roads, they will head out to challenge Animo Venice at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
