Football Recap: Summit Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Summit Christian Academy extended their losing streak to four on Friday, dropping them down to 2-8. They were dealt a 56-7 defeat at the hands of the Ketchum Warriors. The Eagles were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-0.

Parker Burton threw for 42 yards and one touchdown. On the ground, Gordon Fuller rushed for 53 yards.

As for Ketchum, their record now sits at 6-4. That looming 56-7 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for them yet this season.

It was another big night for Keegan Johnston, who threw for 207 yards and four TDs while completing 76.2% of his passes, and also rushed for 80 yards on only seven carries. His passing game has become a key predictor of Ketchum's success: the team is 5-2 when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 1-2 otherwise. Gracian Jones also helped with two scores in total.

Summit Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Ketchum, they will venture away from home to take on Talihina at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Warriors will need to watch out since the Golden Tigers have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
