Basketball Recap: Mabank Takes a Loss

Mabank has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 57-51 heartbreaker at the hands of the Brownsboro Bears. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Panthers came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 347th, while the Bears are ranked 805th).

Mabank's loss dropped their record down to 13-7. As for Brownsboro, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-13.

Mabank will be playing in front of their home fans against Canton at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Brownsboro, they will take on Van at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
