Basketball Recap: Lake Shore Takes a Loss

Lake Shore was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 64-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eden Raiders. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Raiders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 49-48 back in December of 2024.

Eden found their leader in freshman Kobe Genco, who went 6-for-11 from beyond the arc en route to 27 points and six boards. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Genco has scored all season. Nate Weyland was another key player, putting up nine points and seven rebounds.

Lake Shore's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Eden, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-3 record this season.

As of now, neither Lake Shore nor Eden have any future games scheduled.
