Baseball Recap: IMG Academy Beats Braden River for Their Eighth Straight Win

While IMG Academy put up some runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for Braden River. The IMG Academy Ascenders were the clear victor by a 10-0 margin over the Braden River Pirates. The Ascenders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by ten runs or more this season.

Parker Jennings tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only one hit over five innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Dean Moss was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in February of 2024. Kelvyn Paulino was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

IMG Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .567. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Braden River only posted an OBP of .133.

The victory keeps them at an undefeated 8-0. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for Braden River, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. IMG Academy will welcome The First Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Braden River, they will host Davidson Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
