Basketball Recap: Rogers Takes a Loss

Rogers lost against Anthony Wayne back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Rams received a blow as they fell 56-41 to the Generals. The contest marked the Rams' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Anthony Wayne's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Mason Taylor, who almost dropped a double-double with 11 points and nine boards. Taylor also put up a block, which was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Anthony Trombley, who shot 53% from the field en route to 20 points.

Rogers' defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Anthony Wayne, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Looking ahead, Rogers will venture away from home to square off against Lima Senior at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Rams will need to watch out since the Spartans have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Anthony Wayne, they will be home for the holidays to greet Findlay at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
