Basketball Game Preview: Lead Hill Tigers vs. Jasper Pirates

The Lead Hill Tigers will square off against the Jasper Pirates at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Lead Hill comes in on seven and Jasper on three.

Last Saturday, Lead Hill was able to grind out a solid victory over Kingston, taking the game 60-51.

It was another big night for Noah Royce, who went 9-for-19 en route to 23 points and six boards. The game was his sixth in a row with at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Coda Lemon, who posted ten points and seven rebounds.

Meanwhile, Jasper earned a 63-52 win over Founders Classical Academy on Saturday. Given the Pirates' advantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 89th, while Founders Classical Academy are ranked 255th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Lead Hill's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 29-13. As for Jasper, their win bumped their record up to 29-7.

Everything went Lead Hill's way against Jasper in their previous matchup on February 4th, as Lead Hill made off with a 69-46 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lead Hill since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
