Baseball Game Preview: University School of Jackson Bruins vs. Union City Golden Tornadoes

The University School of Jackson Bruins are taking a road trip to challenge the Union City Golden Tornadoes at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. University School of Jackson has given up an average of 6.9 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

University School of Jackson managed to slip by Westview the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Bruins lost 13-4 to the Chargers on Tuesday. The Bruins' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

University School of Jackson saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nash Kilburn, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Ethan Lee also deserves some recognition as he got his first hits of the season.

Meanwhile, Union City earned a 7-2 win over Gleason on Tuesday. The Golden Tornadoes haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Union City's win bumped their record up to 12-7. As for University School of Jackson, their loss dropped their record down to 9-9.

Everything went University School of Jackson's way against Union City when the teams last played back in April of 2019, as University School of Jackson made off with a 14-4 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bruins since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
