Preview: WestSide Renegades vs. Liberty Raiders
WestSide is 8-2 against Liberty since January of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The WestSide Renegades will head out on the road to square off against the Liberty Raiders at 7:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (WestSide has three straight wins, Liberty has five straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Even though West Logan Christian Academy scored an imposing 62 points on Wednesday, WestSide still came out on top. WestSide managed a 68-62 victory over West Logan Christian Academy.
Austin Bishop was his usual excellent self, going 8 for 15 from beyond the arc en route to 30 points and 2 assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Braxton Waldron, who scored 12 points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 75-47, which was the final score in Liberty's tilt against Summers County on Monday.
WestSide pushed their record up to 13-5 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. As for Liberty, their loss dropped their record down to 2-13.
Everything came up roses for WestSide against Liberty in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 as the team secured a 84-33 victory. With WestSide ahead 40-12 at the half, the game was all but over already.
