Baseball Game Preview: Mapleton Mounties vs. Monroeville Eagles

For the second straight game, Mapleton will face off against Monroeville. The Mounties will welcome the Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Mapleton's favor as the team sits on seven straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Monroeville has been banged up by six consecutive losses on the road also dating back to last season.

Mapleton is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 11 runs on Thursday, they were much more limited against Monroeville on Monday. They came up short against the Eagles, falling 9-2.

Mapleton saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lukus Jenkins, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI. That hit marked the first that Jenkins got this season.

Mapleton's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Monroeville, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.
