Football Recap: Antlers Bearcats vs. Pocola Indians
Antlers kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They came up short against the Pocola Indians, falling 54-28. The Bearcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Indians apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2021.
Although Antlers took the loss, they still got scores from Chandler Joslin, Camron Redday, and Aden Wheat.
JASEIR POSEY was a one-man wrecking crew for Pocola as he threw for 300 yards and five touchdowns while completing 81.3% of his passes, and also rushed for 54 yards on only seven carries.
Antlers will be defending their home-field for the first time this season they go up against Coalgate at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Antlers is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home dating back to last season. As for Pocola, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Spiro at 7:00 p.m. on September 13th.
