Baseball Preview: Livonia Wildcats vs. West Feliciana Saints
The Livonia Wildcats will venture away from home to square off against the West Feliciana Saints at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. West Feliciana took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Livonia, who comes in off a win.
It was a proper cat-fight when Livonia took on Opelousas on Thursday. The Wildcats never let the Tigers get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.
Livonia got a massive performance out of Keegan Ledet, who scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. That's the most runs Ledet has posted since back in February of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Bergeron, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.
Meanwhile, West Feliciana unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of Brusly by a score of 4-3.
West Feliciana's loss dropped their record down to 19-8. As for Livonia, they now have a winning record of 13-12-1.
Livonia might still be hurting after the 17-0 defeat they got from West Feliciana in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. Can the Wildcats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
