Heritage Academy Gateway came tearing into Wednesday's game with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 28.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They claimed a resounding 62-15 win over the Maya Jaguars. Given the Heroes' advantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 63rd, while the Jaguars are ranked 240th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Heritage Academy Gateway has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.1 points per game. As for Maya, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.

Heritage Academy Gateway wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 60-4 victory against Imagine Prep Coolidge on the 24th. Maya has also already played their next game, a 54-0 loss against Ridgeline Academy on the 23rd.
