League recap: Argyle enters state Top 25 with win

Argyle was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after besting Aubrey. The Eagles came in at 25 in the state poll after placing at number 30 last week.

Ranchview's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Keidrien Wadley threw for 15 yards and Armahn Mathis had eight yards receiving. On the ground Raghib Ismail chipped in 80 yards. Nick Burns helped Ranchview's passing attack out by catching one ball for seven yards.

Ranchview's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Wolves feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Wadley has thrown for 804 yards and two touchdowns this season, while Burns has 17 catches for 253 yards. Osh-Shakkur Derrick leads the league in rushing with 442 yards.

The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Celina takes on second place Argyle. Celina last week, while Argyle defeated the Chaparrals.

The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when the Bobcats take on Todd Rodgers' team. Celina has allowed 110 points this season, while the Eagles have given up 89.

Argyle led the league in scoring this week after putting up 54 points on Aubrey.
