Softball Recap: Point Pleasant Triumphs

Point Pleasant never let their opponents score on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Herbert Hoover Huskies by a score of 3-0. Three seems to be a good number for the Big Blacks as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

The result came thanks to Rylan MacKnight's shutout, as she gave up just four hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Bralee Roush, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2025.

Point Pleasant now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Herbert Hoover, their loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 6-2.

Point Pleasant wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 12-2 win against Nitro on the 1st. As for Herbert Hoover, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 11-10 defeat against Riverside on the 1st.
