Lee's Summit West extended their winning streak to three on Friday, bumping their season record up to 17-13-1 in the process. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Liberty North Eagles, sneaking past 4-2. This was a revenge game for the Titans: when they faced off against the Eagles back in April, they had to take a 14-8 loss.

As for Liberty North, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat they have suffered since April 29, 2024.

For Liberty North's part, they got a good showing from Chase Devalkenaere, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Devalkenaere has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Liberty North saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was William Bologna, who went 2-for-4 with two runs.
