Volleyball Game Preview: Willow Canyon Wildcats vs. Ironwood Eagles

The Willow Canyon Wildcats are taking a road trip to face off against the Ironwood Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Willow Canyon will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

It was a proper cat-fight when Willow Canyon took on Canyon View on Tuesday. The Wildcats were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Jaguars.

Willow Canyon walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 26-24, 25-22.

Meanwhile, Ironwood came up short against Sunrise Mountain on Tuesday and fell 3-1.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-19, 18-25, 25-15.

Willow Canyon pushed their record up to 24-9 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Ironwood, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-15.

Willow Canyon couldn't quite get it done against Ironwood when the teams last played two weeks ago as they fell 3-1. Can the Wildcats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
