Volleyball Recap: Riverside-Durham's Winning Streak Snapped at Nine Games

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Riverside-Durham can now relate to. They lost 3-0 to the West Forsyth Titans on Tuesday. The Pirates' defeat signaled the end of their nine-game winning streak.

While Riverside-Durham ultimately came up short, they really made West Forsyth work, particularly in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 27-25, 25-14.

Despite the loss, Riverside-Durham saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jacob Feller had 18 assists and eight digs. Feller has been hot for a while, having posted 13 or more assists the last 14 times he's played.

Riverside-Durham's defeat dropped their record down to 20-5. As for West Forsyth, they pushed their record up to 23-1 with the win, which was their 19th straight at home dating back to last season.

As of now, neither Riverside-Durham nor the Titans have any future games scheduled.
