Vero Beach has gone a perfect 4-0 against Moore Haven recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Indians will be playing at home against the Terriers at 6:00 p.m. Neither Vero Beach nor Moore Haven posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

On Wednesday, Vero Beach came up short against Jupiter and fell 6-2. The defeat continues a trend for the Indians in their meetings with the Warriors: they've now lost three in a row.

Taylor Stevens spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and three unearned) runs on six hits and racked up seven Ks.

At the plate, Vero Beach saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gabrielle Espich, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Moore Haven suffered their biggest loss since March 28, 2024 on Wednesday. They lost 8-1 to Riverdale.

Moore Haven also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and she was also dialed-in: Preslynn Baker gave up three earned (and five unearned) runs on five hits and racked up 13 Ks. With that strong performance, Baker is now averaging an impressive 5.2 strikeouts per game.

Moore Haven's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-4. As for Vero Beach, their loss dropped their record down to 6-6.

Vero Beach beat Moore Haven 11-8 in their previous matchup back in February. Do the Indians have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Terriers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
