Basketball Recap: Petal Takes a Loss

Petal lost against West Harrison back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Panthers took a 43-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hurricanes. The contest marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

West Harrison got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Logan Robinson out in front who posted ten points along with five boards and four steals. Those four steals gave Robinson a new career-high. Kameron Bolden was another key player, putting up 12 points.

This is the second loss in a row for Petal and nudges their season record down to 2-4. As for West Harrison, the win keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

Coming up, Petal will host Hancock at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for West Harrison, they are taking a road trip to challenge Columbia at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
