Soccer Recap: Central Takes a Loss

Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Garber Dukes. While losing is never fun, Central can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan soccer rankings (they are ranked 232nd, while Garber are ranked 43rd).

Central's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Garber, they pushed their record up to 10-1-1 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home.

Coming up, Central will welcome Carman-Ainsworth at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Central are facing Carman-Ainsworth at the right time seeing as Carman-Ainsworth are stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Garber, they will venture away from home to challenge Swan Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
