Volleyball Preview: Collinsville Cardinals vs. Inola Longhorns

Collinsville hasn't had much luck against Inola recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Collinsville Cardinals will be playing at home against the Inola Longhorns at 6:30 p.m. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

Last Tuesday, Collinsville sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over Verdigris. The win made it back-to-back victories for Collinsville.

Meanwhile, Inola waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They skirted past the Cardinals 2-1.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Inola who won the one that mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 19-25, 15-6.

Inola relied on the efforts of Graycie Eagleton, who had ten digs and three aces, and Tessa Groff, who had three digs and three aces. That's the most aces Eagleton has posted in her last nine games.

Collinsville is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-9 record this season. As for Inola, they pushed their record up to 13-17 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home.
