Baseball Recap: Ewing Gets the Win

While Ewing's victory against Florence Township Memorial wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Blue Devils skirted past the Flashes 4-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Blue Devils have posted since April 3rd.

Sam Liebowitz was excellent, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Carlos Paredes-Cruz, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

The victory made it two in a row for Ewing and bumps their season record up to 5-12. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Florence Township Memorial, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-9.

Coming up, Ewing will venture away from home to square off against Spotswood at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Florence Township Memorial does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
