Hodgson Vo-Tech gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Wednesday. They claimed a resounding 55-27 victory over the MOT Charter Mustangs. The win continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now won six in a row.

Hope Smith had an outrageously good game as she went 5-for-9 en route to 13 points along with eight steals and five assists. Those five assists gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kaliyah Gunter, who shot 50% from the field to rack up 11 points and seven steals.

Looking ahead, Hodgson Vo-Tech will take on Middletown at 12:15 p.m. on Saturday. As for MOT Charter, they will be playing in front of their home fans against St. Andrew's at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
