Volleyball Recap: Albemarle Takes a Loss

After flying high against North Rowan on Monday, Albemarle came back down to earth. The Bulldogs took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Gray Stone Day Knights on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 23-25, 25-16, 25-17.

Albemarle has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-7 record this season. As for Gray Stone Day, their victory ended a three-match drought at home and bumped them up to 8-11.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Albemarle is set to challenge their familiar foe North Stanly at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Gray Stone Day will face off against rival South Stanly at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
