League recap: Analy's Myers delivers best pitching performance from past week

Sonoma County league recap: 5/14/12

Mikey Myers was the best pitcher in the league this week. His stat line for the week included one win and 11 Ks.

Iggy Llorence was on fire this week, as he led the league with a .583 average with six RBIs. Casa Grande compiled a record of 3-0 in that time.

The Gauchos scored a league-best 36 runs this week, adding to their league-leading 184 runs on the season. Casa Grande's key hitters include Chase Stafford, who has a team-high 38 runs, and Anthony Bender, who leads the squad with with 28 RBIs.

Petaluma put five runners on via walks this week, fewest in the league. But the Gauchos' staff still boasts the league's best control, having issued only 54 bases on balls over 159 total innings.



Casa Grande's Kevin George finished his week with nine hits, tops in the league. His 29 hits for the year are seventh in the league, and he boasts a .382 batting average.

Kevin George had a multi-hit game on Saturday, when he went 4-5 in Casa Grande's 7-0 win against Alameda. He also drove in two runners.
