Basketball Recap: Azle Takes a Loss

Azle was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were beaten by the Aledo Bearcats 64-35. The Hornets were not able to make up for their defeat to the Bearcats from their previous meeting back in February of 2024.

Azle's loss dropped their record down to 6-20. As for Aledo, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-10 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Azle will challenge Chisholm Trail at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Aledo, they will square off against Brewer at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Brewer will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Aledo surely won't give up without a fight.
