Flag Football Recap: Mia Bautista and Jamie Haase Pace Sutter Defense

Sutter lost against Rio Linda back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Huskies received a blow as they fell 25-6 to the Knights. While losing is never fun, the Huskies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California flag football rankings (they are ranked 516th, while the Knights are ranked 166th).

Despite the loss, Sutter still got an impressive performance from Audrey Horn, who picked up 100 receiving yards and one score. Horn got the majority of those receiving yards when he pulled down a pass and took off for a gain of 60 yards.

Sutter didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Mia Bautista and Jamie Haase.

Sutter has been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 11 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season. As for Rio Linda, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-5.

Sutter didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, an 8-0 defeat against Dixon on the 8th. As for Rio Linda, they have also already played their next game, a 45-6 victory against El Camino on the 8th.
