Baseball Recap: Esperanza Comes Up Short

Esperanza was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost an 11-10 heartbreaker at the hands of the Adelanto Saints. The Aztecs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Saints apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Esperanza got a massive performance out of Ian Gladue, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Jacob Santos was another key player, going 3-for-5 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI.

Esperanza's record now sits at 8-14. As for Adelanto, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-10.

Looking ahead, Esperanza will face off against Northview at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Adelanto, they will square off against Silverado at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
