Lake Highland Prep won the last time they faced Cornerstone Charter Academy and things went their way on Saturday too. Lake Highland Prep walked away with a 6-3 victory over Cornerstone Charter Academy. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Highlanders.

Landon Towns made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Towns was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March of 2024.

In other pitching news, Hayden Mackle looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (two).

Towns wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Reilly Diebel, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases Diebel has posted since back in February of 2024.

Lake Highland Prep's record is now 6-3. As for Cornerstone Charter Academy, they dropped their record down to 1-7 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Lake Highland Prep has already played their next contest, a 16-2 defeat against Orangewood Christian on the 11th. As for Cornerstone Charter Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 7-0 loss against Windermere Prep on the 12th.
